  • Description:

Dense, narrowly pyramidal crown adorned with nearly horizontal branches when young, becoming upright with age. Adding visual interest and beauty to the landscape, its canopy of unique, fan-shaped, green leaves, turns brilliant gold in the fall. It is tolerant of clay soils, salty soils, drought and urban settings where pollution can be problematic. Its fall color is brilliant gold but can be short lived if hard frosts occur quickly. 'Fairmount' is a male selection free of flowers, so there's no stench and no fruit.
